Stumps and disposal: Grind stumps 4 inches below grade outside wetlands; cut flush and treat in sensitive areas. Haul away all debris; no grubbing, excavation, burning or leaving chips onsite.
Sensitive areas: Hand clearing required; keep equipment at least 25 feet away and prevent soil disturbance.
Grassing: Approximately 185 acres of permanent grassing, including seed, fertilizer, lime, mulch, temporary stabilization and erosion control; slope mats required on slopes steeper than 3:1.
Regrowth control: Include stump herbicide treatments, ongoing mowing and herbicide applications through completion, and final mowing. Licensed applicators and an on-call ISA Certified Arborist required.
Traffic control: Include daily lane closures, work zone law enforcement and Type 3 portable message signs with two weeks of advance notice.
Schedule and pricing: Start within 30 days of the prework meeting, complete 50% of clearing within 150 days and finish within 240 days. Quote clearing per shoulder mile, grassing per acre and traffic control as a lump sum, including all labor, materials, equipment and disposal.
