What the job is
Work areas: Statewide sites in varied terrain, including riverbeds, canals, fat clay, marshes, bedrock, weathered rock, and sandy areas.
Drilling: Standard penetration testing, undisturbed sampling with Shelby tubes, rock core drilling, and geo-probes as needed.
Testing: Observation wells, infiltration testing, piezometer testing, soil index, triaxial, direct shear, rock core compressive strength, and pH resistivity.
Equipment: Standard drilling equipment, all-terrain vehicles, rock drilling capability, and occasional barge-mounted equipment.
Requirements: Delaware Well Driller's License for drilling staff, required drilling permits, traffic control setup, and reporting/sample documentation.
Term: Three-year service period with possible extensions, performed on an as-needed task basis.
