What the job is
Scope: Inventory and scheduled inspections covering approximately 678 sign structures, 236 high mast lighting/camera structures, and 3,092 traffic signal supports; include minor maintenance such as bolt tightening and sign clip replacement.
Methods: Hands-on structural inspections supplemented by visual inspection, drones where appropriate, and nondestructive testing of all anchor bolts; include sign panel condition and reflectivity.
Equipment and traffic control: Provide all access equipment, including bucket trucks, lifts or drones as needed, truck-mounted attenuators, and traffic control meeting Delaware MUTCD requirements.
Team: Two-person inspection team with a registered PE meeting applicable bridge inspection team leader qualifications and a certified welding inspector with ASNT Level II ultrasonic qualifications.
Reporting: Electronic field data entry and digital photographs in the provided inspection database; one-page inspection summaries within 30 days and updated database with individual PDF reports within 90 days.
Duration: Three years with two possible one-year extensions; annual inspection assignments provided as needed.
