We are seeking quotes for repair of a combination valve (NSN/part number to be verified against the solicitation) for the U.S. Navy, with freight handled through the Navy's Commercial Asset Visibility (CAV) process.
Scope of work: Repair of the VALVE,COMBINATION, performed per the contractor's repair/overhaul standard practices, manuals and directives, with nomenclature, part number and NSN verified before quoting.
Turnaround time: The Government wants a Repair Turnaround Time of 354 days, measured from physical receipt of the asset at your facility to Government acceptance.
Quote contents: Provide unit price, total price, RTAT, price type (firm-fixed, estimated or NTE), beyond-repair test fee, CAGE codes, and a repair-versus-buy-new price comparison.
Inspection and tracking: Government Source Inspection is required, and all asset transactions must be reported in the CAV system within five business days of receipt.
Late penalty: Missing the RTAT without excuse brings a per-unit, per-month price reduction that you propose in your quote, and the Government may also terminate for default.
Terms and options: Award is bilateral, freight is FOB Origin, and the Government intends to add an option quantity at the same unit price exercisable within 365 days of award.
