We are seeking quotes for manufacturing aluminum shipping and storage containers for DLA Weapons Support Philadelphia.
Approved Source: Manufacturers must have engineering source approval from the design activity or request approval from the buyer.
Container Specs: Containers must use aluminum shells and meet Container Research Corp. drawing 934E001, latest revision, and referenced specifications.
Finish and Marking: Use ASTM B841 Class 1, Type B, Grade 3 zinc-nickel finish and provide a UID nameplate compliant with the drawing package and MIL-STD-130.
Welding Standards: Welders and welding must meet the applicable AWS D1.1, AWS D1.2, AWS D1.3, AWS D1.6, or MIL-W-22248 requirements.
Testing Requirements: New manufacturers may require a pre-award survey and post-award conference, and first article testing may be required.
Set-Aside: This solicitation is a total small business set-aside.
