We are seeking quotes for manufacturing and supplying fiberglass-reinforced plastic shipping and storage containers for the U.S. Navy.
Manufacturing Standard: Containers must meet Thales Underwater Systems drawing 61724836-041, latest revision, and all referenced specifications.
Materials and Finish: Use fiberglass-reinforced plastic shells and ASTM B841 Class 1, Type B, Grade 3 alkaline zinc-nickel alloy finish instead of cadmium plating.
Packing Requirement: Place one-third unit of MIL-D-3464 Type II nondusting desiccant per cubic foot of interior volume in each container.
UID Marking: Affix each container with a nameplate bearing a data-matrix UID marking in accordance with drawing 15930 and the latest MIL-STD-130.
First Article: When required, first articles must pass dimensional, form, fit, function, drawing compliance, and other contract compliance tests, with samples submitted unpainted.
Quality Reviews: New manufacturers may require a pre-award survey and post-award conference, while previous sources may be recommended for a post-award conference.
