What the gig needs
We are seeking quotes for manufacturing aluminum shipping and storage containers in support of DLA Weapons Support Philadelphia.
- Build Requirements: Manufacture, test, and inspect aluminum-shell containers to Container Research Corp. drawing 934E001, latest revision.
- Source Approval: New suppliers require engineering source approval, and new manufacturers may need a pre-award survey and post-award conference.
- Welding Standards: Welders and welding must meet the applicable AWS D1.1, D1.2, D1.3, D1.6, or MIL-W-22248 requirements.
- Finish and Marking: Use ASTM B 841 Class 1, Type B, Grade 3 zinc-nickel finish and provide UID nameplates meeting MIL-STD-130.
- Shipping Preparation: Place one-third unit of MIL-D-3464 Type II nondusting desiccant per cubic foot of interior volume in each container.
- Set-Aside: This procurement is a total small business set-aside.
