What the job is
Organizations: Associated Students, Channel Islands Foundation, Site Authority, and Financing Authority; separate audits for each.
Audit scope: All funds and financial activities, including investments, endowments, debt, leases, internal controls, and relevant IT controls. ASI uses FASB; the other three use GASB. Records are maintained in PeopleSoft Financials.
Tax preparation: Price Form 990, California Franchise Tax Board filings, and Registry of Charities and Fundraisers filings separately for each organization; perform applicable filings only.
Term: Fiscal years ending June 30, 2027–2029, plus two optional years ending June 30, 2030–2031; anticipated start January 2027.
Deliverables: Audit opinions, financial statements, supplementary schedules, and management letters. Present drafts within 80 calendar days after year-end; deliver final electronic reports and 10 bound copies per organization within 90 days.
Pricing: All-inclusive, fixed not-to-exceed fees by organization, year, and tax filing, including meetings, travel, and 4–8 hours of annual training. Option-year increases capped at 3%; quote additional services and staff hourly rates separately.
Qualifications: Independent California-licensed CPA firm with higher-education, nonprofit, FASB, and GASB audit experience.
