What they need
ParticipantsApproximately 10–15 youth and young adults ages 14–26 with Montana foster care experience, including rural, tribal, and underserved communities.
ServicesRecruitment, orientation, governance development, adult facilitation, leadership training, and accessible regular meetings held virtually, in person, or in a hybrid format.
Annual eventCoordinate one statewide leadership, training, or networking opportunity, including travel, lodging, and accessibility arrangements within available funding.
AdministrationManage participant payments and reimbursements, document recommendations, attend monthly coordination meetings, and provide semiannual and annual reports. Startup and compensation plans are due within 60 days of starting.
BudgetProvide an itemized one-year quote totaling no more than $100,000, including staffing and participant supports. Stipends cannot exceed $1,500 per participant annually; mileage, meals, and per diem must follow federal rates. Include required guardian expenses for minors; entertainment and childcare are ineligible.
Youth safeguardsUse trauma-responsive, culturally responsive practices with appropriate confidentiality, background checks, and youth safety procedures.
