What the gig needs
We are seeking quotes for commercial power generation projects at Aberdeen Proving Ground, Fort Detrick, Fort Drum, Letterkenny Army Depot, Picatinny Arsenal, Tobyhanna Army Depot, and/or West Point Military Reservation.
- Project Scope: The lessee will finance, design, permit, build, install, own, secure, operate, maintain, and decommission the facility.
- Generation Types: Projects may use natural gas, geothermal, nuclear, or solar power, with nuclear units limited to 500 MW each.
- Power Delivery: The lessee must secure a third-party off-taker and provide Army energy resilience during grid outages exceeding four hours.
- Lease Term: The enhanced use lease will run for 50 years, with a possible renewal if proposed.
- Lease Requirements: Lease consideration must be cash, in-kind, or both and equal at least the appraised fair market value.
- Compliance: The project must comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws, codes, ordinances, regulations, and building codes and restore the property before lease expiration.
