What the gig needs
We are requesting a quote for vegetation community planning surveys at four locations: Camp Bowie, 5601 FM 45 S, Brownwood, TX 76801; Camp Maxey, US 271, Powderly, TX 75473; Camp Swift, 1705 Hwy 95 N, Bastrop, TX 78602; and Fort Wolters, 7701 Wagner Rd, Mineral Wells, TX 76067.
- Site Area: Survey approximately 30,344 acres across the four locations
- Fieldwork: Delineate and assess vegetation communities using aerial imagery and systematic ground surveys
- Classification: Identify vegetation series, alliances, associations, conditions, and fuel models using recognized Texas Natural Heritage, NatureServe, National Vegetation Classification, and Rothermel standards
- Deliverables: Provide survey methods and results reports, vegetation maps, labeled photographs, and all associated GIS data with FGDC-compliant metadata
- GIS Standards: Deliver data with 1–5 meter accuracy in UTM NAD 83 as a spatial-data-compliant geodatabase or ArcGIS shapefiles
- Experience: Personnel should have at least five years of vegetation survey experience
- Schedule: Complete the work within a 12-month performance period
