What the gig needs

We are requesting a quote for herbicide treatment in the Little River Basin along the western boundary of Dewey W.

• Area: Treat approximately 550 acres of water elm, swamp privet, and black willow generally under 6 feet tall
• Application: Use low-volume backpack sprayers with a minimum application rate of 4.5 gallons per acre and cover at least 85% of each tree’s apical meristems
• Materials: Herbicides will be provided; contractor must supply water for tank mixes and dispose of empty containers
• Retreatment: Include pricing for an estimated 20% retreatment in September 2027
• Qualifications: Louisiana pesticide business license and at least one registered Commercial Applicator certified in General Forestry (subcategory 2a) are required
• Site Visit: Mandatory pre-bid conference on September 21, 2026, at 9:00 AM CT at the Highway 28 and Diversion Canal Road intersection near Alexandria, LA
