09/08/2026: Amendment 0001: The purpose of this amendment is to clarify that this solicitation is considered FULL AND OPEN COMPETITION. The solicitation was inadvertently advertised originally as a total small business set-aside in error. There is no change in the bid due date or time. Scope: It is the purpose of this specification that the elevators identified in the contract documents must be properly maintained such that at the end of the contract period they will be substantially in the same condition with respect to performance, cleanliness, safety, wear, and appearance as at the beginning of the contract period.
Maintenance Requirements: The Contractor must make regular and systematic monthly examinations and adjustments to maintain the efficiency, safety, speed, and operating characteristics as originally designed and installed by the manufacturers of the equipment, including acceleration, deceleration, contract speed with or without full load, floor to floor time, door opening and closing time, and leveling accuracy. The Contractor must make minor repairs to or replace the small operating parts of the elevator system at no additional cost to the FAA. Small parts must be considered as those having a cost of Seven hundred dollars ($700.00) or less in the quantity normally used to repair or replace a specific component, e.g. one coil for a relay; a set of contacts and carbon brushes. Replacement of major parts, e.g. the controllers, motors, traction machine components, bearings, brake coils, gears, rewinding of motors, renewal of worm and ring gear combinations, and motor generators must be provided to FAA at the lowest price available.
