We are looking for aircraft rental services with pilot support for waterfowl survey flights in Northeast Louisiana, covering the Louisiana portion of the Mississippi River Alluvial Valley from 31.
Aircraft: Cessna 210 or equal, single-engine, high-wing aircraft
Crew capacity: Pilot plus at least two observers
Flight profile: Low-level survey flights over aquatic, agricultural, and forested habitats at approximately 200-250 feet above ground level, adjusted as needed for safety
Schedule: Two survey periods, generally mid-December and early January, with one full-week commitment for each survey period
Estimated usage: Daily flight time may vary from 4 to 8 hours, with approximately 90 total flight hours per year
Preferred aircraft base: Avoyelles, Caldwell, Catahoula, Concordia, East Carroll, Franklin, LaSalle, Madison, Morehouse, Ouachita, Rapides, Richland, Tensas, or West Carroll Parish, or Mississippi counties bordering the Mississippi River-Louisiana border
Equipment: On-board GPS and 12V or USB power source for survey recording equipment
